My passion for Acupressure was ignited in 1985 when I began to study Jin Shin Do Acupressure while on a working holiday in the UK. I moved to the USA in 1988 to further my studies with Iona Teeguarden, the developer of Jin Shin Do, and became a practitioner and teacher of that method. Mentoring by the Five Element Acupuncturists Bob Duggan and Dianne Connelly in the 1990s led to a life-long interest in the Five Element Model both for treatment and for living. I returned to Australia in 2006 where I established The Acupressure Centre and developed the Five Element Acupressure program which in now taught around Australia by myself and senior teachers. I maintain a clinical practice in the Adelaide Hills and mentor senior students of the program online. My method and philosophy are conveyed in my two books The Way of the Five Elements and The Way of the Five Seasons, published by Singing Dragon

With over 25 years of experience across integrative health, counselling, complementary medicine, and health science education, I bring a rare combination of clinical depth, academic rigour, and practical insight. I hold two master's degrees, have research experience in qualitative methods, and have authored six health-related books. My work sits at the intersection of psychological and physiological understanding, underpinned by a long-standing interest in the body's capacity for self-regulation and healing. I am currently developing doctoral research exploring the relationship between emotional experience, physiological regulation, and the integration of physical and mental health
